Our SEND Tuition and Provision

We have 30 years of experience working with students with SEND

At Tayberry Tuition and Consultancy, we strongly believe that every child, no matter what, should have the opportunity to learn and be the best version of themselves they can possibly be.

We have worked with many students over the years who have felt challenged in school due to their special educational needs and disabilities, from working with students with ASD and ADHD, to those who have hearing and visual impairments, as well as students with cerebral palsy, dyspraxia and dyslexia. We also work with students who have ‘invisible disabilities’ which impact on their education, such as epilepsy, severe mental health challenges and chronic pain to name but a few.

Our tuition sessions are entirely bespoke and tailored to suit each and every student. We are also able to offer consultancy, to advise on the most suitable schools and educational pathways to suit each child depending on their individual challenges and abilities.

Case Studies

Isaac

We started working with Isaac when he was 8 years old. A student with ASD, he finds school a challenging sensory environment which is very noisy and busy. He therefore wasn’t enjoying his learning, and he was slowly falling behind with the academic work he was being set.

His parents were very concerned about his future prospects as they considered his senior school options. We started working with him on a weekly basis, firstly getting to know him and the way he learnt, before beginning to focus on his maths and english to bring them up to the standard which would be required for senior school entry.

He is now thriving at school, fully engaged with what is being asked of him, and his confidence has grown as a result. Not only have we given him methods and techniques to tackle his academic work, we’ve also had tutors who have built up relationships and a rapport with him, which has really helped him socially.
